On behalf of FTSLA, I presented at the Organicology Conference, in a session on “Good Work: Best Practices for Domestic and International Labor.”
My presentation focused on international labor and trade. My slides are available as a PDF. The rest of the presentations are available on FTSLA’s website presentation page under the “labor” category.
Employees are the heart of a strong business and it’s becoming increasingly important to verify good workplace practices in our businesses and supply chains. Learn about initiatives to support fair, safe and healthy practices, domestically and internationally. We’ll review various standards and certifications, including Domestic Fair Trade, Agricultural Justice Project, Fair Trade Certified, Rainforest Alliance, IMO Fair for Life, SCS Fair Labor and Community Benefits and others. Companies involved in these programs will share their experiences.
